Lagos Life skills: home training actions

To train Lagos Life skills at home, leave Buy mode, select the matching furniture, and choose its training action from the menu. At a venue, open Things to do (T on a keyboard) and choose the action. Finish an active work shift before using a home object’s training menu.

Choose the action as well as the object. A Standing Mirror offers Practice Speech for Charisma; Hype Yourself is a different option. A Laptop Desk offers Practice Coding, Freelance Gig, Run Instagram Shop, and scrolling. Practice Coding trains Coding, while the Instagram shop trains Hustle. Buying the laptop does not make every action a Coding session.

Use furniture already placed in your home before shopping. Dance to Burna trains Dance through the Transistor Radio included in several starter layouts. Cook Jollof trains Cooking with a Kerosene Stove, which those homes also supply. For a new skill purchase, a Standing Mirror costs ₦1,700, a Dumbbell Rack ₦3,400, and a Bookshelf ₦3,600. Listed durations use the game clock.

Where to train without buying the furniture

Check opening hours and city before travelling. A venue action can have its own fee, unlock condition, or entry requirement. Compare the fare with what you would spend on a reusable object at home.

How to level Coding in Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt

CcHub in Yaba offers Coding training in Lagos Life and opens 08:00–23:00. Hack on Side Project is a 120-game-minute training action without a listed skill minimum. Attend Tech Meetup also trains Coding and supports Social. CcHub’s Freelance Gig requires Coding 2; Weekend Hackathon requires Coding 3. Train first if the paid or event action is still locked.

In Abuja, Ventures Park in Maitama opens 07:00–23:00 and offers Code at a Hot Desk. Deep Work in a Focus Pod has a ₦2,000 base action fee. In Port Harcourt, Rivers State University in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo opens 06:00–23:00 and offers Sit In on an Engineering Lecture. These local choices avoid making a Lagos trip just to train.

At home, a ₦18,000 Laptop Desk supports repeat Practice Coding sessions, listed at 120 game minutes. Compare its purchase price with your local journeys and any action fees. CcHub and the laptop both offer an action called Freelance Gig, but their durations and base earnings differ; the shared name does not make them the same job.

Coding and Charisma: train toward a specific unlock

The skill on your application can differ from the one on your promotion. Port Harcourt Oil & Gas accepts Coding 3 or Fitness 3 for entry, then uses Fitness. Refining Lab Technician and Process Engineer use Coding; Plant Operator and Tanker Driver use Hustle. Expand the selected career track to find the next threshold.

Skills that unlock home side gigs

Home Freelance Gig unlocks at Coding 2. Write a Banger on the Acoustic Guitar unlocks at Music 3. Paid Skit for a Brand needs Comedy 3 and electricity at home. Edit & Sell Photos needs Photography 3 and electricity, even though Practise Photography on the same camera has no power requirement in its action.

Use Practice Guitar, Film a Comedy Skit, or Practise Photography to reach those gates. A locked paid action is not a reason to buy another copy of the object. Run Instagram Shop has no minimum Hustle level, and its base earnings grow with whole Hustle levels. Compare the gig costs and earning examples after training.

Skill training speed at level 0, 2 and 5

The level label rounds down to a whole number; progress pips retain the fraction. A session can move progress within Coding 2 without displaying Coding 3 yet.

For the same action and the same learning modifiers, the level factor is 1 + 0.6 × whole level. It is 1 at level 0, 2.2 at level 2 and 4 at level 5. A level-5 session therefore gains one quarter of the progress that the same session would at level 0, before other modifiers. It does not mean four clicks always finish a level.

Fast Learner multiplies learning by 1.2, mood above 40 by 1.15 and LAPO by 1.25. Together those three produce a 1.725 multiplier, a 72.5% increase over that same action without them. Traits can also change the result. Keep the target skill constant when comparing routes; a quicker Hustle action does not train the Coding your promotion needs.

Why a training action will not start

“NEPA took light” means a powered action at home needs grid power, a working solar setup, or a generator with fuel. Film a Comedy Skit requires electricity. Practice Speech, Practice Guitar, and the Kerosene Stove’s cooking actions offer useful options while you resolve power.

A missing-ingredient message names what Cook Jollof needs: one unit each of rice, Gino, Maggi, and oil. A full queue holds six actions; cancel an unwanted entry before adding another. If the Sim cannot reach an object, move the blocking furniture in Buy mode, leave a clear approach, and select the action again. If an active session feels unsustainable, restore Energy, Hunger, or Fun with your existing household actions before continuing.
