Lagos Life daily gem clue: date and expiry

Clue for : “Where Mama Bisi knows everybody's gist.”

This hunt ends at . The next reward when checked was ₦3,000. Later claims can change the available prize.

The active clue and countdown are in the game’s Daily gem hunt panel. This dated clue expires with that hunt; it cannot identify a later day’s gem. The public clue gives no confirmed pickup location, so a venue name matched to the wording remains a candidate until the pickup control appears.

A Lagos Life daily gem clue can describe a place’s name, activity or atmosphere. Use that detail to select a destination, then check the venue’s city and opening hours in the location finder. Opening hours follow your Sim’s game clock; the hunt’s expiry follows the real clock.

A daily gem route that keeps travel costs down

  1. Open the active hunt and note the next prize before selecting a destination.
  2. Search the location finder for the named person, venue or activity. Check the city and opening hours of the matching place.
  3. Get an outward fare and keep enough cash for the return trip. Compare the total with the available reward.
  4. Finish travelling, then reopen Daily gem hunt at that venue. Use the pickup button if it is available; otherwise record the unsuccessful stop before choosing another.

For the 12 October clue, Mama Bisi’s Salon in Surulere is a candidate to test: its name matches “Mama Bisi,” and the location catalogue lists an 08:00–21:00 game-clock window. This is a clue match, not a confirmed gem location. Do not buy a haircut merely to test the hunt; the claim action is Pick it up.

If you are in Abuja or Port Harcourt, a ₦25,000 base night-bus fare already exceeds a ₦3,000 reward before the return trip. Finding the gem at that reward would still leave a ₦22,000 gap against the outward fare alone. Stay with an earning action in your current city unless another reason already justifies the intercity trip. Your actual transport quote can differ from the base fare.

How to pick up the Lagos Life daily gem

  1. Arrive at the destination. A map selection or trip in progress does not activate a pickup there.
  2. Open Daily gem hunt and look for the sparkling gem and Pick it up.
  3. Use Pick it up, then read the claim result for your finishing rank and actual reward.
  4. After a successful claim, the panel shows your result until the next daily hunt.

The Lagos Life daily gem pickup depends on your current location. If the button is absent after arrival, that stop has not been confirmed by the hunt. A matching clue alone cannot trigger collection. Reopen the panel once arrival has finished, and use the displayed hunt date to rule out a reset while travelling.

If the request reports a connection failure, reconnect and check whether a claim result is already present before retrying. A found result means the claim completed; an active clue with no pickup means you still need a matching location.

Daily gem rewards: rank versus net earnings

Finishing rankGame Naira reward
1st₦50,000
2–3₦25,000
4–10₦10,000
11th and later₦3,000

Rank is decided when you collect, not when you depart. Another player can claim while you travel, taking the next finishing place and changing your reward tier. The final claim result therefore supplies the payout; the prize seen before departure is a planning figure.

A ₦3,000 daily gem reward with ₦2,000 in combined outward and return fares leaves ₦1,000 before food or activities. With ₦4,000 in fares it loses ₦1,000. These are fare examples, not fixed route prices. Add another unsuccessful stop and its transport cost also comes out of the hunt’s earnings.

Subtract all fares paid for the hunt from the final prize to check whether the hunt broke even. A trip you were already making has a different extra cost from one bought only for the gem. Keep those cases separate when deciding whether to search again.

Lagos Life gem reset time: midnight in Lagos

The Lagos Life gem reset is 00:00 in Africa/Lagos, equivalent to 23:00 UTC on the preceding calendar date. It uses real calendar time. Advancing the Sim’s clock, sleeping or completing another game day does not open the next hunt.

A trip near midnight has two limits: the venue’s game-clock opening window and the hunt’s real-time countdown. Satisfying one does not satisfy the other. If the hunt expires before you arrive, use the new clue and prize at arrival rather than continuing to spend against the old answer.
